Wednesday April 4, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

DataBytes is an NCDS-sponsored lunchtime webinar series that gives our members and the larger data community the chance to discuss the most pressing and interesting issues in data science. Webinars are generally held on the first Wednesday of every month, excluding January and July. All webinars are easily accessible from the NCDS homepage and from this page.

For the April talk, Leonard Fishman, Vice President of Business Development at data.world, will present on practices for better data teamwork.

Abstract: Effective data collaboration takes more than giving everyone access. Inclusion, flexibility, setting, and prioritization are also keys to fruitful data work. This session will help you implement the principles of the Manifesto for Data Practices (https://datapractices.org/manifesto), which describes the most effective, ethical, and modern approach to data teamwork. Signed by some of the brightest minds in data, the Manifesto can create positive change wherever data collaboration occurs.
